So...just about 10 years later, I have accepted my fate as no longer being a "Toys R Us kid" and am now trying to embrace where I'm at and work with what I got. Unfortunately for me, if you read my previous post, you'll know that at the moment I'm really not too excited about what I'm working with! So this is all about the revolution of my late 20's so I can be happy and ready to enter the dirty 30's!!!

So this is me right now in all my late 20's glory about 25 lbs heavier than I was 3 years ago. Yes, that does mean that I was a quite the little bean pole back then. I'm not trying to get back to how I looked in "way back when" because obviously considering the whole mentality of "acceptance" I will never look like that. HOWEVER, I do wanna lose 20lbs and gain a good amount of muscle. I want my athletic legs back because these legs are NOTHING like they used to be! Don't get me wrong, I've always had thighs. But they were in shape! Big difference to what they are now. (Jiggle Jiggle!)
The extra flab on the tum tum is gonna have to go as well! Once upon a time when I was about 22-23, I was a Gypsy for Halloween and wore a top that was cropped showing my entire mid section. I did this with ease because at the time, I had a cute little flat tummy. Nowadays, I won't even wear a 2 piece bikini because I'm just not a fan of showing my belly at all!
To me it all boils down to what you're comfortable with. If you are confident with your body and comfortable in your own skin regarless of what size you are, then I say kudos to you! I am not used to the body I have now. For 24 years my body didn't vary much at all. When I was younger I used to wish I could gain more weight so I could have a black girl booty since from behind there really wasn't much going on!!! A couple years after high school I got my little extra meat and I was good. I was happy where I was at. However, my body has changed more over the last 3 years than it ever has and while I accept the changes that come with age, I don't accept the excess!
So my goal is to lose 20lbs and increase my strength, flexibility, and stamina. Walking up a few flights of stairs should NOT make me winded! So this is what I'm gonna do:
First, I'll be taking a cue from the lovely Miss Claire Bellefleur and cutting out most of the booze for a while. I'm not a big drinker but I do love my wine so this will be tough. I'm the glass of wine with dinner type so now I'm going to try to cut it down to just one glass a week.
I'll be walking my puppy more (since I SHOULD be doing that anyway!).
I'm going to incorporate Tracy Anderson's basic at home exercises, splitting them up between morning and late afternoon.
Drink tons of water (duh!)
For my diet, I only have 2 goals: Eat less meat and more green. These are my only changes for now. For me I have to take baby steps or I just won't do it at all.
So, that's it for now. I'll update as I go along. :)
