As I Am- Natural Product Line

I recently came across a newer product line called As I Am that was created to cater towards the naturally textured, tightly coiled/curly hair types. This hair care line was created by Dr. Ali N. Syed who is a master hair care chemist, entrepreneur, and overseer for the product development of Avlon Inudstries... who makes lines like KeraCare and Affirm.

Dr. Syed started noticing that more and more consumers were becoming interested in natural methods and products to help take care of their naturally textured hair. Dr. Syed and his peeps then researched blogs and videos to see what was being said about how naturally textured women are currently taking care of their hair, as well as specifically what types of products they're avoiding and why, ie. mineral oil, sulfates, silicones, etc.

So after doing plenty of research, enlisting a handful of hair chemists, product testing and sampling, the As I Am product line was created using the kind of ingredients that naturals crave... specifically many fully organic ingredients!

I gotta say I am loving that so many companies are starting to take notice of our desire to not be pigeon held into using the mainstream brands with the same old typical ingredients and are in turn making more and more quality products with quality ingredients! The Product Junkie in me is excited and ready to sample!!!

Now, I'm not a natural. I'm more of a consistent stretcher since I keep planning to transition and then I change my mind! However, whether you are relaxed, natural, or anything in between, we can all benefit from the use of more natural/organic products. So I'm going to happily try out this new line in hopes of acquiring some new favorites! From what I've noticed from those who have already tried the As I Am line it seems the Cleansing Pudding might be a good one to start with so I will be trying and reviewing that product soon. Stay tuned!
